How to Play Sudoku
- Objective: Fill the 9×9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 subgrids contain all of the digits from 1 to 9.
- Starting Grid: Each puzzle begins with some cells already filled in with numbers.
- No Repetition: Numbers cannot be repeated in any row, column, or 3×3 box.
- Completion: The puzzle is solved when every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the numbers 1–9 exactly once.
- Use Logic: Use deduction and logical reasoning to determine which numbers belong in each empty cell.

- Use pencil marking: Mentally note possible numbers for each cell.
- Look for unique possibilities: Sometimes only one number can fit in a particular cell.
- Work on one number at a time: Focus on placing a single number throughout the grid.
- Use the elimination method: Eliminate possibilities based on what’s already in the row, column, and box.
- Take breaks: If you’re stuck, step away for a few minutes and return with fresh eyes.
