Test Instructions
- Sit comfortably with good posture in a quiet environment
- Relax for 30 seconds before starting the test
- Take a normal breath in (not too deep) and hold it when instructed
- Press the button when you can no longer comfortably hold your breath
- Do not force beyond your comfort level – safety first!

📝 Preparation
- Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed for 2-3 minutes
- Sit comfortably with good posture (back straight, shoulders relaxed)
- Avoid eating a large meal or exercising vigorously 30 minutes before testing
- Have your phone/computer ready with the test page open
🚀 Starting the Test
- Click the “Begin Test” button (green button with play icon)
- The screen will show:
- “Relax and breathe normally…” (for 3 seconds)
- Then a countdown from 5: “Hold your breath in 5…4…3…2…1…”
🌬️ Performing the Test
- When you see “Hold your breath now!”:
- Take a normal breath in (don’t overfill your lungs)
- Hold your breath immediately after inhaling
- Keep holding while the timer counts up
- During the hold:
- Watch the timer and progress bar
- Stay relaxed – don’t tense up your body
- Avoid swallowing or “cheating” with small breaths
🛑 Ending the Test
- When you can’t comfortably hold anymore:
- Click the red “Release Breath” button immediately
- Do not force yourself beyond comfort
- Exhale slowly when you stop the test
📊 Understanding Results
After stopping:
- Your hold time appears in large numbers (e.g., “32.45” = 32.45 seconds)
- The color gauge shows where your result falls:
- 🔴 Red (0-15s): Below normal
- 🟠 Orange (15-25s): Below average
- 🟢 Green (25-40s): Normal
- 🔵 Blue (40-60s): Good
- 🟣 Purple (60s+): Excellent
💡 Tips for Accurate Results
- Test at the same time of day for comparisons
- Take 2-3 tests (with 5 min rest between) and average them
- Avoid the test if you have a cold or respiratory infection
- Stop immediately if you feel dizzy or unwell
